6. Drinking black tea can prevent lung problems
7. Chapstick can ease the pain of a paper cut! Just rub some on the cut*
8. Marshmallows can reduce pain of sore throats*
9. Eat something spicy? Drink milk not water!
10. Salmon has nutrients in hit that stimulate hair growth
11. Apples work better than coffee to keep you awake
12. Drinking two glasses of Gatorade can help reduce headaches*

How to Make a Desert Pizza!

Hey everyone!

How's your day going so far? I hope all is well, the sun is shining, and your day is beautiful.

I'm saying this to you because for some I know, it hasn't been such a beautiful day, and they need a little cheering up. So what's better than a dessert pizza?! Talk about your comfort food!

So if your best friend is feeling glum, and you want to turn their frown upside down, here's a recipe for dessert pizza!

What you'll need:
Pizza crust
Assortment of candy/other toppings
Pizza pan
Plates

~~~
Step 1: Prepare the crust. Buy the pizza crust of your choice and prepare it without any toppings. Just roll it out to the exact size and shape you need it to be and bake it without any toppings before moving onto the next step. Once its done, let it cool before adding any toppings or else you risk melting your toppings and you'll end up with a gooey mess!
Step 2: Spread the "sauce". The sauce can be anything from whipped cream to ice cream. It just has to be something that will hold the toppings to the pizza. If you want to make it look like a real pizza (this is awesome for a prank!) use red food colouring to mimic tomato sauce.
Step 3: Add your toppings! Toppings can be any sort of candy you want. Skittles, M&Ms, Starbursts, Jolly Ranchers, etc. Get creative with your toppings!
Step 4: Grill the pizza briefly. This is optional though, just in case you do want to melt some toppings such as chocolate and marshmallows.
Let me know how it turns out! I hope it put a smile on your friend's face! Or..your own face if you just made it for you.
How to Make a Hair Mask
Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!
Summer is almost here! That's really a beautiful thought. And since school will be out, you'll have more time to focus on you! Let's face it, you want to look and feel your best for summer yes? So how about we start with a simple but effective trick to keep your hair healthy and shining? That's right. I'm talking about a homemade hair mask.
Hair masks work wonders. They help mend damaged hair, put the oils that your hair needs to grow back into your scalp, and they give your hair a healthy shine.
Here's a basic recipe for one, but keep in mind that there are plenty more!
What you'll need:
1/2 avocado
2 table spoons of coconut oil
2 table spoons of olive oil
Small bowl
~~~
Step 1: First put two table spoons of coconut oil into a bowl. Put in in a microwave until it is completely soft/liquefied.

Step 2: Put two table spoons of olive oil into the same bowl as the coconut oil.

Step 3: Next mash the avocado into the same bowl as the coconut oil and olive oil. Be sure that no lumps are present, you want your mask to be completely smooth!

Step 4: Once you have your mixture of coconut oil, olive oil and avocado mashed together (with no lumps of course!), add it to your hair. I would recommend wetting your hair first so it can soak up the ingredients better. It's also quite hard to mix it in with dry hair because it will just become tangled.

Step 5: Leave the mixture in from 30-60 minutes

Step 6: After you've had the mixture in for the recommended amount of time, take a shower or a bath and wash your hair really well! Make sure you rinse it all out or else you'll end up with greasy looking hair instead of just a healthy shine.

*Note*
I have super oily hair and the results from doing this were disastrous to say the least. My hair looked like I hadn't taken a shower in about 5 days! So if you do have oily hair, DO NOT FOLLOW MY ADVICE! In fact, disregard everything you've read here and get it out of your head! I repeat, DO NOT LISTEN TO LIV! Although, because you are teenagers, odds are you'll do it now just because I've told you not to....so if that's the case disregard this note! Happy hair masking!

How to Survive Sick Days!

Good afternoon everyone!

How's your week going? I hope all is well! The sun is shining, birds are chirping, winter has been defeated! ....And I'm stuck in school. Anyway, I envy everyone who doesn't have to spend their beautiful day cooped up in high school.

But I'll keep smiling because it's Wednesday, which is like the cousin of Friday. We're almost there! Wednesday also means a new blog post and a special announcement. (Insert awesome drum roll here). I have a poll on my blog now! This means that you can vote on a topic you need help with. But until word spreads I'll keep searching for topics that I hope you will enjoy.

Today the topic just so happens to be, "How to Survive Sick Days".

Sick Days. We've all had them and we all hate them. Slouching around the house in old stained sweatpants and that faded smelly hoodie; you really start to feel like an ugly parasite on life, am I right? Thought so. But believe it or not, you can enjoy yourself on sick days!

1. Books/Magazines
Grab a few books and some magazines guys! I know it sounds boring, but loosing yourself in a great book will take your mind off being sick, and take you on an adventure for the day. Divergent, The Hunger Games, or the Alex Rider series are some great ones!  If books aren't your thing, well it's easy to start daydreaming about the One Direction boys while flipping through that Tiger Beat Magazine. (Totally not talking from personal experience here..)

2. Soup
Soup is great for these kind of days. It's warm, comforting, and relaxing. Plus it's loaded with nutrients that will help you overcome that nasty bug! Chicken Noodle is what got me through my wisdom teeth surgery. Tell your mom how much you love her, and she'll most likely make you some.

3. Electronics
Just because you're at home doesn't mean you have to become unplugged from the world. (I don't recommend texting your friends during school hours though...yeah this one I am speaking from personal experience guys!) Go on instagram, twitter, facebook, and keep caught up on the daily news. Who knows, maybe Harry Styles tweeted a funny picture, or your crushes relationship status went back to single. You don't want to miss those opportunities!

4. Outfits
If in the event you do have to go out during a sick day, you don't want to go out looking like a zombie! Try throwing on a cute sweatshirt and leggings with a braid in your hair. You could also throw on a favourite t-shirt and nicer looking sweatpants, just something that you're still comfortable in!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I hope this helps guys! If you're not sick, hey, remember who gave you the ideas okay? If you are sick, I hope you get better soon. Also, if you've done all these things and want more to do, tweet your world about my blog! Virtual hugs from Liv!
