How to Survive Midterms/Exams/Tests

Hey everyone!

It's that time of year. Summer's on the horizon, but to make it there, you need to pass your finals! It's super stressful, that's for sure; but if you work hard, you'll feel so much more accomplished. So here's some tips on how to get through the last few weeks of school!

1. Study Constantly
Don't cram the night before your exam! It never ever works! You'll most likely forget it. But if you go over the material daily, it's more likely to stick with you!

2. Ask For Help
If you have questions, now's not the time to be shy. You need to have a firm knowledge on what you're learning, and you certainly won't if you don't ask for clarification.

3. Sleep!
Sleep is important guys! Don't stay up all night studying, your brain can only absorb so much information at a time. There is nothing worse than going to an Exam/Test/Midterm feeling sleepy! You'll be distracted and odds are you won't do as well as you could.

4. In the Morning....
Wake up early and eat a good breakfast! Try to relax and get your nerves under control. If you feel the need, skim your notes one last time for that boost of confidence. Getting up early will also help you concentrate and think clearly.

5. Electronics
If you love something, set it free right? Well it's time to put down your iPod, tablet, phone etc. You won't be able to study effectively with all those devices demanding your attention. Now if you're a procrastinator like me, try hiding your devices around your room or get your parents to hide them so you won't be tempted by them.

6. Place!
Make sure you study in a quiet place. Studying on the couch adjacent from your brother playing Skyrim is probably not the best idea.

7. Create a Schedule
Plan out your time wisely. Take into account all the different assignments/exams/tests you need to study for, and give each of them an equal amount of time. If you're struggling with a subject give it a little more attention than a subject you're already good it.

8. Be Positive!
Adopt a "I can totally do this" kind of attitude instead of a negative one. It will make you feel confident as you walk into that exam/text/midterm.

9. Get to It!
As soon as they give you the test, don't procrastinate! Start right away just in case you start to run out of time at the end.

Good luck everyone!
